October is National Breast Cancer Awereness month, and to show their support HUDSON Jeans has made a pledge to donate $5 for every pair of jeans sold to the The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. To help spread the news, HUDSON has teamed up with some of their favorite blogger friends to ask them to make a pledge and share the news with their readers.
My Pledge? "I Choose to Love Life (and my Puppies)"
Disclamier: I was gifted these HUDSON Jeans for participating in the program
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2011, BCRF will award $36.5 million to 186 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and China. Currently, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated is directed to breast cancer research and awareness programs. With exceptionally low administrative costs, BCRF continues to be one of the most efficient organizations in the country and is designated an “A+” charity by The American Institute of Philanthropy, the only cancer organization to achieve this. For more information about BCRF, visit www.bcrfcure.org.
These shots were captured during a recent weekend trip in Santa Barbara, CA. On our last day I woke up around 9AM and headed out to the beach where I was amazed at how peaceful the saliboats appeared in the morning fog. By noon the fog had passed and Kara and I ended up having a very nice lunch at the Marina.
This past weekend I met up with the modman for a very industrial photoshoot. I wanted to show how a man can be rough and rugged while not being afraid to show off his feminine side with the beautiful Australian South Sea Pearl drop necklace by Kailis. In 2011 you will continue to see men rocking new and vintage pieces from their mom's and girlfriend's closets and start a new trend called "thegirlfriend".
More love goes out to CROW Watches for sending me their BFW watch. I love the signature silicon lightweight band along with the oversized rectangular face and numbers.
Finally, I must send a shout-out to one of my clients, HUDSON for always outfitting me with some sick denim.
I recently was at a breakfast with a very influential blogger who said she didn't get personal style bloggers. It was hard for her to grasp why anyone would want to post pictures of themselves everyday to the internet ...
Well I must admit that is silly, which is why I only post a few times a week :-)
If you want fashion industry news, I suggest going over to Fashionista.
If you want national shopping news, I suggest going over to Racked.
If you want that Vicarious LifeStyle, well my friends here is where you need to be.
It's been awhile since I busted out an OOTD, but after putting on my Louis Vuitton sweater and my HUDSON jeans, well.... I felt inspired to share my yummy style with the world.
I am really loving the CAVI Holiday 2010 collection featuring flannel button ups, dark wash denims and some real nice outerwear pieces.
Check out some more key pieces from their women's and junior's collections onthe CAVI Facebook page and head over to Macy's or Dr. Jays to shop their Holiday collection.
CAVI has also launched their Weekend in New York Sweepstakes which offers up a Grand Prize package that includes round-trip airfare for two, two nights in a luxury hotel, $1,000 shopping spree to CaviNYC.com and much more!
Last weekend I headed to L.A. to shoot a Ustream event with Rue La La and Whitney Port for her collection, Whitney Eve available now on Rue La La. I was only in town for a day, so I only packing was pretty simple with some of my favorite and most comfortable pieces. For the day I wore a white v-neck tee with a pair of white Stan Smiths, and switched into a white Dolce & Gabbana cashmere sweater with a pair of HUDSON jeans and Nike Dunks.
For those that missed it, you can catch the live chat with Whitney Port here:
Tomorrow is the first offical day of fall and I feel the love in the air.... well maybe not, but I am excited to transition my wardrobe with layered looks this season. Today I am rocking my HUDSON jeans (gifted), with a FCUK sweater, Zara jacket and Hugo boss shoes.
Don't worry, no one was hurt while standing in the road for this photo shoot.
During New York Fashion Week one of the shows I attended was the Perry Ellie Spring 2011 collection runway show at Lincoln Center, the new home of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. The show was amazing and showcased Perry Ellis's sporty heritage comprsing of tailored jackets, sweaters and shorts. I loved so many of the looks, but my favorite is a black and white v-neck sweater shown below.
Last weekend was very chilly in New York... So much so, that I found it the perfect time to try out my new True Fun Skull and Bones blanket my friends over at Snuggie sent me.
I started walking along Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn and noticed the perfect spot to sit and study up on my marketing. I almost passed up the opportunity, but remebered I had a blanket in my book bag....
a blanket with sleeves!
Next, I was hungry so I decided to the market to pick up some fruit...
thankfully my Snuggie has pockets so I didn't even have to use a basket
Finally, I felt lonely so I decided to call home...
and my mom was happy to hear from me!
Drive safe my friends!
Do you have some fun pictures of yourself wearing a Snuggie? Check out the Snuggie Fanclub and submit your photos too!
It is starting to get cold outside, and I couldn't be any happier! Today was a great cool summer day in New York, so I decided to wear my new GAP hooded cardigan and my gifted HUDSON Jeans. Check out my fresh.
Recently I attended the Argyleculture Fall 2010 Menswear Presentation in New York City as the contibuting men's editor for Style IT.
The party was great and Russel Simmons did an amazing job with the collection - perfect for the hip, young professional. The models came out to a photoshoot type set, with this video playing against a white screen.
Check out some of my favorite pieces from the collection below and if you like what you see, go check out their selection at Macy's.
Today was our first full day in Jamaica, and as such wanted to discover more about what the resort had to offer. Waking up at a respectful 10:00 AM we decided to head to to the main buffet for breakfast. The food was delicious and I enjoyed a ham and cheese omelet with french toast and fruit.
After breakfast, my girlfriend and I headed over to the water sports center where we grabbed some snorkeling gear and hit the water. I didn't find Nemo, but we did see some friendly fish who followed us everywhere we went! After we returned our snorkeling equipment, we walked off the resort to some shops that were on the beach. All the vendors were happy to see us and asked us all to check out their shops, which contained beautiful hand carved wood masks, sculptures and paintings.
During lunchtime the resort offered a BBQ on the beach. The food was delicious and I ended up having jerk chicken, rice and beans and some fresh fruit. After a long day on the beach we decided we needed some self indulgence, so we decided to check out the spa. The spa was amazing, offering a large hot tub and saunas with hot or cold baths. We decided that we needed to more self indulgence, so we made a reservation for the following day for massages on the beach.
When selecting the cologne you are going to wear for the day, take the extra time to ensure the aroma compliments your look.
If you are running around to meetings, try Giorgio Armani ACQUA DI GIO or Sean John Unforgivable which will keep you smelling fresh throughout the day. Apply to your entire body directly after the shower and let air dry.
For nighttime events or cocktail parties, try Dolce & Gabbana the one or Gucci by Gucci which offer a stronger more masculine smell and will help you stand out in the crowd. Apply to your entire body and rub into your neck and wrists.
Cologne does not react to everyone’s skin the same, so make sure to smell it both as it comes out the bottle, but also when it is dry on your skin.
Georgia May Jagger is one of the hottest emerging style icons of our time, and also the beautiful face of HUDSON Jeans (my favorite denim brand and my client). So when I saw this video on Style.com today, I felt it was necessary to share with you so we all can live Vicariously through Jefferson Hack. Enjoy!
Most men are intimidated by fashion. They don't know if they should start with a fresh pair of shoes and build their outfit up, or start with a crisp shirt and work their way down. For me it doesn't matter where I start when picking out my outfit, as long as I finish with the perfect accessories.
This summer it's all about color to compliment your look. I like to wear affordable pieces that rotate depending on my outfit for the day. You can find many affordable watches, necklaces, wallets, socks and even scarves to give your basic outfit a much needed boost. Check out some of my favorite affordable summer accessories below!
To kick off the 4th of July my girlfriend and I went into Georgetown and had lunch at Tony and Joe's, a nice seafood restaurant on the waterfront. After lunch, we walk around town and ended the day taking out a kayak on the Potomac River. I was wearing a Rowdy t-shirt, Sean John shorts and Supra shoes.
Today was the first full day of my weekend trip to D.C. and me and my girlfriend hit the town hard, going around to all of the monuments and museums. I decided it was the perfect chance to rock some of my Rowdy gear, and paired it with some Sean John shorts and Adidas shoes and watch. Check out some of my favorites pictures from the afternoon below!
